LYNN WRIGHT BROWN has shown her art around the area in many juried and invitational shows and has won cash awards. Most recently she was one of a two person show at Wenatchee Valley College's Gallery '76, at MAC Gallery in Moses Lake, and at High Spirits Gallery in Wenatchee. She was the year 2000 Apple Blossom poster artist.
Lynn received her undergraduate education in fine arts at the University of Nebraska and a Masters Degree in Art Education from Central Washington University. In 1998 she completed a Masters Degree in Theology from Seattle University. She has worked in the area teaching art to all ages. For many years she also was an adjunct professor for Central Washington University, teaching art education to elementary school teachers. She was one of five women who founded the Mustard Seed Neighborhood Center in 1989. Early in her career when she worked in Chicago for the American Medical Association, Lynn designed the emergency medical symbol which now is screen as the blue asterisk symbol marking every ambulance in the United States as an emergency vehicle.
Lynn enjoys painting pastel or acrylic landscapes of the area. Recently she has been painting portraits of children and is happy to do commissions.
